Terms and conditions for the use of photographs on the www.narbeth.com website.

I am happy to help musicians and entertainers. The photos on my site are reduced for the web to less than 10% of their original size. That means if you print from them the quality will not be that good at larger sizes. If you would like prints of any pictures please contact me. If you want to use my photos, you must observe the following rules. "You" includes anyone using or permitting the use of my photos:

1. Copyright in the photos on www.narbeth.com  belongs to Ian Narbeth.
2. You must not sell my photos or include them on any material that is sold, including but not limited to: photographs, postcards, gift cards, music CDs or DVDs, CD Roms, CD covers, T-shirts, posters or badges unless I have previously agreed in writing that you may do so. I will require payment for commercial use.
3. You may use the photos for promotional purposes without charge - e.g. on a website, advertising poster (but not one that is sold), or flyer. Please advise me if you do so and send me a link to the place on the website where they appear and send me a copy of the poster, flyer, etc. I will give my address for snail mail.
4. If you use my photos on a website, you must include a prominent credit: "Photo by Ian Narbeth  www.narbeth.com " without the quotation marks. If more than one photos are included on a page you may instead of crediting each photo include a credit that the page includes Photos by Ian Narbeth  www.narbeth.com .
5. You may link to the page within www.narbeth.com where the photos appear but I require a link to www.narbeth.com because this helps with my search engine ranking.
6. You may permit promoters, venues and festival organisers to use my photos of your band for promotional purposes subject to these rules. It is your responsibility to ensure that the promoter, venue and festival organisers comply with these rules.
7. You may not adapt, edit or manipulate my photos (other than minor cropping) without my permission.
8. You must not use my photos in any way that would bring me in to disrepute. This includes, but is not limited to, any use in any context that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, threatening or involves racist or hate speech. You must indemnify me against all cost, claims and expenses I incur in dealing with any such use.
9. I may withdraw the permission to use without charge my photos at any time and without giving a reason.
10. I may change these rules from time to time without notice. It is your responsibility to check the rules. If in doubt please contact me.

From time to time I will use a band's logo and/or colour scheme on my site.  If you object to this use, please e-mail me with the objection stating on which page the offending material appears and giving details of your authority for objecting. I will remove offending material promptly.
